Just saw this post on CNN: $500K homes now selling for $200,000. Lake Elsinore is a five minute drive from us—part of the local group of communities, of which Temecula was the first.

Friday, April 3rd, 2009Sony Closes Stores in San Francisco
Wednesday, April 1st, 2009The Metreon in San Francisco is changing completely. For almost ten years, as I have attended trade shows like MacWorld and GDC at the Moscone Center, I have always stopped at the high tech Metreon, owned by Sony. It was the first public place in the US that I was ever able to use WiFi (probably around 2001). The two stores, one for PlayStation and a Style Store to show off other Sony high tech goods, were the first places that I ever saw a flat panel television, HD television, the PS3 and a hundred other things.
This was the Style Store. For years, it was a showcase for the best and brightest high tech gear. I would go through it for at least half an hour during any visit to San Francisco.
I can’t believe its closed.
