It was a great decision. Our celebration today? Cleaning up the house after three days of Thanksgiving parties and guests. Then home with the kids for a video movie. And we’re perfectly fine with that.

Thanksgiving Dinner 2009
Friday, November 27th, 2009Thanksgiving Dinner was excellent! Thanks to everyone who came. On the serving cart, we had the following: (Top shelf) Hungarian cabbage in the blue bowl, turkey (one plate dark meat, one plate white meat), Gabi’s fruit stuffing from inside the bird, rolls and Gabi’s stuffing from outside the bird. (Middle shelf) Dan’s cornbread stuffing, Hungarian mayo salad, spiced squash (!!). (Bottom shelf) sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes.
Not shown are the homemade cranberry sauce, gravy, apple pie, Lintz cookies, coconut pastries, Charlotte cake (these two courtesy Anikó), beer/wine/gin courtesy of Chris and Dan and lots of other stuff as well.
It was a great time!

Thursday, November 26th, 2009Thanksgiving Approaching
Monday, November 23rd, 2009This is the last post on Thanksgiving until after the festivities. We’re just too busy getting things together here. We’ll have photos of everyone and all of the fun once the guests have left.
For those people coming, remember to check out the posts here: schedule, food, drinks/desserts and guest list. Thanks to Chris for promising to bring drinks to the gathering. Thanks to Anikó for all of the baking she’s doing. And to our neighbors Gilbert and Karen for providing extra tables and chairs to fit everyone.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
